U-Pick Farm: Reservations Required

RESERVATIONS only. No walk-ins.

  • Farm visits by RESERVATION only. Seasonal Dates TBD
  • Spring strawberry season is mid-April through early June
  • Summer blueberry & sunflower season is June through early July
  • Fall pumpkin season is mid-September through early November
  • U-cut flowers are available every season

May reservations will open on April 29 at 5:00 pm.

We are past peak – it came very early this year. The plants are slowing down. Also, the supplier of strawberry plugs, where the majority of the plants originate, had what looks to be a plant fungus. Unfortunately when you irrigate it tends to spread from the infected plants through the hose to the healthy plants. It does not hurt the berry itself and they are totally fine to eat, but it does slowly kill the root system. This is happening all across local strawberry farms. Our plants were producing a ton over the last few weeks and now we are starting to see more and more plant loss. We will not be opening as many May days as we have in the past as we see how this plays out. Our last day of reservations – for now – is May 18. If there are enough delicious red berries in the field, we definitely will add more reservations. Please remember that unlike our neighboring farms we cannot spray fungicides to fight this. We are so pleased we have had so far and that speaks volumes to the health of our soil and our farming practices. Fungicides are a dangerous mix of toxins that will never be used in our fields and around our families no matter the financial loss. So as disappointed as you may be to visit, I assure you we are much more so.

Saturdays and Sundays are the only days we are permitted to cook our amazing Wise Pie wood fired pizza (our permit allows 21 days, 6 hours/day). For that reason on those days we only offer pizza and picking packages. These packages include (2) pizzas and (2) quart containers of u-pick organic strawberries for the entire reservation, not per person. IF the field allows extra berries may be purchased for $3.79/pound. This will be entirely determined on field conditions and on a number of days we do have to limit the picking to only the 2 pre-purchased containers.  We do this so we have enough berries for the reservations that come after yours and to protect the field from overpicking, damage and waste. Weekdays are only picking ($3.79/lb) with no pizza available.

  • Barrel Train tickets (12 years and under $3/ride) for purchase after 5:00pm on weekdays and on weekends
  • Wagon Ride tickets (All ages, 2 and under free $4/ride) through back woods for purchase on weekends

Sorry, no dogs are allowed on the farm. (We love dogs – have a fantastic one ourselves – but please help us keep our farm and pickers protected by keeping beloved Fido at home.  Of course, service pets are always welcome.)
